Amanda works with illustration, animation and visual communication.

Her work explore the borderland between idea and expression, where she combines image, text, sound and movement to create stories that convey emotion and direction.

With a background as a musician, translator and teacher, Amanda has always worked with language, rhythm and expression. After nine years as a freelance translator and active musician, her interest in multimodal storytelling grew and has deepened through studies in expressive animation, graphic design and creative idea development at e.g. HDK-Valand.

Amanda is currently training in art direction, copywriting and graphic design, thereby building on her existing skills in art, language, idea generation, direction and learning. In her work, she seeks the balance between the intuitive and planned – a design approach that draws power from presence and feels honest, clear and alive.
